Serge Perrot is Rheumatologist and Pain Specialist

He is currently Professor of Clinical Pharmacology at Paris University, and head of the Pain Clinic at Cochin University Hospital, in Paris.

He is the member of the INSERM Research Unit 987.

He is the past-president of the French Pain Society (SFETD) and member of the Council of the IASP

The main topics of his research are pain in musculoskeletal disorders: low back pain, osteoarthritis, fibromyalgia and inflammatory rheumatisms and also pharmacology of analgesics. His publications include more than 250 papers in international journals, and several books on pain and pharmacology of analgesics.
